TimesヤFirst Asian Conference on Visionユ Announcement and Call for papers Times The First Asian Conference on Vision will be held in Hayama, Japan, on July 30 and 31, 2001. The aim of this conference is to facilitate debates on Vision Research in East Asian aria, while participants from all over the world would be welcome. The program consists of invited lectures and regular presentations. Original works on all aspects of vision research are invited to present. It takes one and a half hours from Tokyo station by train and bus. A partial list of speakers includes: Izumi Ohzawa (Osaka University, Japan), Tohru Yagi (Nagoya University, Japan), Lin Chen (Chinese University of Science and Technology, China) Original papers: Original works on all aspects of vision research are invited to submit for presentation. Each abstract will be reviewed confidentially by members of the Abstract Review committee. The accepted papers will be assigned to poster or oral sessions and should be presented in English. A conference summary containing the manuscript will be published as Abstract Book of First Asian Conference on Vision and issued at the conference. < Author should submit an English abstract on one page of A4 paper (the title, author name(s), affiliation(s) and about 400 words abstract (if no figures)) either in a PDF format file or in a Camera-ready copy. Authors should send the abstract by e-mail (PDF file) or by normal mail (Camera-ready copy) to the office of the Vision Society of Japan together with the application form for presentation.
