Applications are invited for a full-time post-doctoral researcher investigating the role of coarse visual information in written word recognition. The project is part of a programme of investigations in human visual perception and cognition which includes research into the visual processes underlying written word recognition, visual and audiovisual speech perception, and hemispheric processing asymmetries.
Applicants should have a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, computer science or other relevant discipline, experience in visual or cognitive research, and proven skills in the computational control of visual displays (e.g., using CRS VSG systems). The successful applicant will join a supportive, well-funded laboratory and will become involved in all aspects of the research, including publications in leading international journals.
