-- CALL FOR SUBMISSION
The Editors of Spatial Vision are pleased to announce a
Call for Submissions to a special feature issue of Spatial Vision on the
role of signal detection theory in studies of perceptual systems,
including contrast perception, learning, attention and decision.
The focus is on the applications of signal detection theory to
basic issues in vision, rather than on purely mathematical or modeling
exercises.
We invite studies from different disciplines, including psychophysical,
cognitive, neurophysiological, neuroimaging, and computational.
Theoretical, empirical and applied studies are all welcome.
Studies the cut across more than one discipline or that compare
data and theory are especially welcome.
The special feature issue on signal detection theory will be edited
by Zhong-Lin Lu and Rhea Eskew. Please send your manuscript directly
to Zhong-Lin Lu for the issue.
Electronic submissions, either in Word or in PDF format, are highly
preferred, although submission of a hard-copy paper is acceptable.
(If a hard-copy manuscript is submitted, please notify Zhong-Lin Lu
by email that the manuscript has been sent. )
See SPATIAL VISION
<http://www.vsppub.com/journals/jn-SpaVis.html>
for instructions on the format of submitted manuscripts.
Deadline for submission is February 1, 2006.
