Research Fellow in 3D vision
University of Reading and University of Oxford
We are looking for a talented post-doctoral researcher to work on a 3
year Wellcome Trust funded project to study 3D spatial representation in
freely moving human observers. The Research Fellow will run
psychophysical experiments in a high fidelity immersive virtual reality
laboratory and will have the opportunity to collaborate with robotics
experts in navigation, mapping and novel view-based methods in 3D
representation. The project is the result of a collaboration between the
Universities of Reading and Oxford and the Fellow will work in both.
Candidates should have a PhD in neuroscience, psychology or a physical
science (e.g. engineering or computer science) and good programming
skills (e.g. C++, OpenGL, Matlab). Experience running, analysing and
modelling psychophysical experiments is desirable.
Informal enquiries can be addressed to:
Andrew Glennerster, School of Psychology, University of Reading
(a.glennerster at reading.ac.uk, ) or
Andrew Parker, Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics,
University of Oxford (andrew.parker at dpag.ox.ac.uk).
