Scope
After the successful meetings in Vienna (2007) and Stanford (2008), the third ACM/IEEE International Conference on Distributed Smart Cameras will be held at Como, Italy. The conference provides an opportunity for researchers working in the areas of smart camera architectures, algorithm design, embedded vision-based processing, and smart environments to exchange their most recent results. Offering insight into the potentials and challenges of distributed vision networks and presentation of design methodologies employed by leading research groups working in these areas are also the objectives of the conference. Presentations accompanied by demonstrations and contributions based on industrial applications are also of interest.
Topics of interest within the scope of the conference include:
- Distributed vision processing algorithms
- Distributed appearance modelling
- Fusion of vision and other sensors
- Collaborative feature extraction, data and decision fusion
- Architectures and protocols for camera networks
- Smart camera architectures
- Image sensing techniques for smart cameras
- Embedded vision programming
- Wireless and mobile image sensor networks
- Position discovery and middle-ware applications
- Vision-based smart environments
- Surveillance and tracking applications
- Multi-view vision for Human-Computer Interfaces
- 3D scene analysis
- Distributed multimedia and gaming applications
For a more detailed list of areas within the scope and interest of the conference see http://www.icdsc.org/
