Postdoctoral Researcher in Cognitive Neuroimaging of Music

A new and exciting research project to investigate behavioral, 
neuro-functional and neuro-anatomical correlates of experience dependant 
music perception will be conducted by Dr. Clara James. Motivated 
individuals are invited to apply for a three-year postdoctoral position 
(available from 01-10-2009) at the Department of Psychology at the 
University of Geneva (Switzerland). Imaging modalities that will be 
applied include functional MRI, structural MRI, diffusion MRI (DTI/DSI) 
and EEG to study brain functional and structural plasticity arising from 
music-related expertise in adults.

Neuroscience is a key research priority of the University of Geneva and 
important facilities have been put into place. Working conditions are 
excellent.

Applicants are required to have proven experience in fMRI and/or the 
application of DTI/DSI in the field of cognitive neuroscience. Interest 
in music is an advantage but not mandatory. Salary starts at about 68K 
CHF, with an annual increase of 3.4K CHF.
