A postdoctoral fellowship is available to work with Dr. Debbie Giaschi in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of British Columbia (www.ubc.ca) on several projects involving children with amblyopia. We use psychophysics and functional MRI to study motion perception, stereopsis and visual acuity with a focus on fellow-eye deficits and implications for treatment. The position is available for at least 2 years beginning November 2009.

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Psychology, Neuroscience or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical or developmental psychophysical experience and Matlab programming skills. 

This position is funded by grants from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (in collaboration with Dr. Laurie Wilcox and Dr. David Regan at York University). Salary will be commensurate with CIHR levels.
