Hi Sol & Peter,
Both Samsung 2233RZ and ViewSonic VX2265 are based on the NT ("Twisted Nematic") TFT-LCD display technology, which means unfortunately only 6 bits per color (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFT_LCD).
