Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant/Technician 
in the Brain and Vision Research Laboratory directed by Professor Lucia 
M. Vaina, at Boston University.

The successful applicant will carry out a range of duties, including 
recruiting participants in psychophysical and functional neuroimaging 
studies of visual motion perception and of how multisensory cues impact 
visual perception, running experimental tasks, entering, organizing and 
analysing data, assisting with presenting results, and supervising 
undergraduate research assistants. Other duties will include general lab 
organization and  maintaining  supplies. Strong organizational skills 
are essential.

A BA/BS in Physics/Engineering, Psychology, Cognitive Science, 
Neuroscience or other related scientific field is required, as are 
strong computer skills and an ability to solve technical problems 
independently. Experience in research in a human psychophysics 
laboratory or experience with fMRI data analysis are a plus. The 
position is available from /February 15, 2010/ for a period of 12 months 
in the first instance.
