The Department of Psychology at The University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf Coast campus

invites applications for one full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2010.

All areas of psychology are encouraged to apply, but we are especially interested in candidates with research interest in social, cognitive, behavioral neuroscience and developmental psychology.   

Duties and Responsibilities: 
* Potential teaching responsibilities include: Introductory psychology, behavioral statistics, learning, history & systems, social and candidates' area of expertise. 
* Expected to develop and maintain an active program of research suitable for attracting extramural funding.   Minimum Qualifications: 
* Doctoral degree in psychology 
* Must show potential for excellence in both research and teaching.   

Preferred Qualifications: Completed doctoral degree in psychology by fall of 2010.
