The Department of Psychology in the School of Mathematics and Natural 
Sciences of Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg (Germany) invites 
applications for a tenured position at the rank of


associate professor (W2) in the area of Applied Cognitive Psychology


to supplement the existing four chairs in the area of cognitive 
neuroscience. We are particularly interested in individuals who are 
working in applied areas of cognitive psychology with a focus on 
modeling, e.g., in man-machine interaction. Candidates should have an 
outstanding record of international publications and externally funded 
research. The position should strengthen the established research foci 
in applied areas. Cooperation with the Research Center for 
Safety-Critical Systems and with additional externally funded 
initiatives in this and other areas is desired.
Successful candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching in the 
envisaged masterlevel program (psychology and cognitive neuroscience). 
In addition, a contribution to teaching psychology for educational 
students is required. Qualifications are specified in §25 NHG.
Since the Universities of Bremen and Oldenburg have concluded a 
cooperation agreement, active contributions to this cooperation are 
desirable.
