*Postdoctoral Opening in Cognitive Neuroscience*
We offer a postdoctoral fellowship position at Temple University
(Philadelphia) to work as part of a team studying the neuropsychology and
neuroimaging of semantic memory, social knowledge, proper naming and social
knowledge, and the anterior temporal lobes. Research will involve functional
brain imaging of the anterior temporal lobes and brain stimulation (both TMS
and tDCS) in healthy adolescents and adults. Experiments may include patient
testing which would entail recruitment and testing of patients with focal
lesions as well as patients with frontotemporal dementia. The postdoctoral
fellow will be expected to participate in the development of new research
directions within the scope of this project.
Facilities: Research resources include a 3T MRI scanner, access to brain
stimulation equipment and to an established lesion population at the
University of Pennsylvania. The post-doc will have the opportunity to
interact with a large network of collaborators in the greater Philadelphia
area. Philadelphia is a beautiful and affordable city, a 2- hour train ride
away from NYC and Washington D.C.
Qualifications: Candidates must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in psychology or
neuroscience; an emphasis on memory or social neuroscience is desirable.
