Postdoctoral Researcher Position: Attention & Cognition Laboratory (Sarah
Shomstein)

 

The Attention and Cognition laboratory in the Department of Psychology at
the George Washington University is considering applications for a Post
Doctoral position in cognitive neuroscience of attention. The successful
candidate will participate in fMRI projects aimed to examine neural
mechanisms of attentional orienting. One of the projects will involve
functional neuroimaging of patients with parietal lobe damage utilizing
pattern classification methods and psychophysics. The position is for one
year, renewable for up to 3 years.

 

Requirements: The successful candidate should have a strong technical
background and a Ph.D. in a related field of study. Experience with EEG,
FMRI, programming (C++, MatLab), knowledge of multivariate mathematics and
pattern classifiers, statistics, and image processing is preferable.
