Ph.D. position: Population dynamics in multi-stable perception

A graduate student position is available at the Max-Planck Institute for
Biological Cybernetics (laboratory of Prof. Dr. Nikos Logothetis) in
Tuebingen, Germany. The position is part of the newly formed Bernstein
Center of Computational Neuroscience (BCCN) Tuebingen which is part of the
Bernstein Network of Computational Neuroscience and funded by the BMBF.

The project in question will be supervised by Dr. Georgios Keliris
<http://www.kyb.tuebingen.mpg.de/~george> and focuses on the study of
multi-stable perception at the level of populations of neurons. State of the
art electrophysiological methods will be used for recording single unit
activity from a high number of cells simultaneously from non-human primates.

Desired Experience: Applicants should have a master/diploma or equivalent
degree in neuroscience, biology, engineering, physics, computer science,
psychology or related areas. The candidate is expected to have a strong
quantitative background and experience with programming. Prior experience
with electrophysiological methods is highly desirable.
