ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN POSITION AT NDSU CENTER FOR
VISUAL AND COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE

 

The North Dakota State University (NDSU) Center for Visual and Cognitive
Neuroscience (CVCN) is recruiting an EEG laboratory technician. We seek
individuals with prior experience in the conduct of electrophysiological and
behavioral experiments in sensory and cognitive neuroscience.  The EEG
technician will work in collaboration with faculty, students and staff at
the CVCN (see http://www.psych.ndsu.nodak.edu/ for a departmental profile).
Salary is $50+K/year, depending on experience and qualifications.

 

Qualifications. The minimum qualifications for the position are: completed
B.A./B.S. degree in psychology, neuroscience, or related field; specialized
knowledge of high-density electrophysiological recording; familiarity with
EEG acquisition hardware and analysis software; excellent computer skills.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree; supervisory experience
in a laboratory setting; effective interpersonal, oral, and written
communication skills; and ability to interact effectively with colleagues
and students.

THE CENTER FOR VISUAL AND COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE

The NDSU CVCN was established in 2004 by an $8.9M Centers of Biomedical
Research Excellence (COBRE) grant from the NIH/NCRR, and has received
competitive renewal of funding until 2015. The CVCN consists of 10 core
research faculty members, as well as numerous additional scientific and
technical staff. CVCN core laboratory facilities include two 168-channel
high-density EEG systems for electrical brain mapping studies, a
state-of-the-art driving simulator, immersive virtual reality systems, and
computer-based psychophysical laboratories with advanced eye-tracking
capability.

 

NORTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY

both about 3.5 hours driving distance from Fargo by interstate. North Dakota
