Project Title: Medical Image Analysis and MEMS based Flow Sensor Development

Objective of the Project
------------------------
The Medical Image Analysis team is carrying out multidisciplinary work
towards development of a computer vision theoretic approach to mimic
radiological/pathological decision making process of disease diagnosis. The
approach includes development of well-defined image database along with
exhaustive thesaurus of diagnostic features for image analysis and pattern
recognition to put into algorithm(s), the inherent skill exercised by
cytologists / oncopathologists / radiologists in interpreting medical
images. These methods will aid speedy and accurate assessment of disease
conditions by medical experts, through quantitative analysis of medical
images. We are currently working on computer aided diagnosis of oral and
breast cancer.

Relevant Experience
-------------------
a) Industry / research experience is desired. Knowledge of Image processing,
Pattern recognition, Machine Intelligence and possessing good programming
skills with Matlab and C/C++.
b) Signal Processing, Image processing or Pattern recognition and good
programming skills with Matlab.
c) Good programming skills with C/C++ and knowledge of object oriented
programming. Knowledge of image processing, pattern recognition and machine
intelligence is desirable.
