PhD Scholarship: Computational modeling relating ocular imaging to visual performance.

PhD Project: The project will explore how anatomical information can be used to inform the testing of visual function (in particular, the visual field). The student will work within a multidisciplinary team from both the School of Computer Science & Software Engineering and the Department of Optometry & Vision Sciences, and will collaborate with leading national and international partners. The project involves collaboration with a leading international ophthalmic imaging company through an Australian Research Council Linkage Project.
The Person: The candidate will be selected based on academic merit and research potential and/or experience. The candidate must hold or expect to hold a Bachelors degree with Honours Class 1 or Class 2A, or a Masters Degree in a suitable area: computer science, mathematics, vision science.
Remuneration: The stipend is funded by an Australian Postgraduate Industry Award as part of ARC Linkage Project LP100100250 at a rate of $26,000 per annum (tax free) for three years.
