Tenure Track Assistant Professor Position in Cognitive Neuroscience
The Department of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor (Fall 2011 start date) in cognitive neuroscience.
Requirements:
Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Psychology or Cognitive Neuroscience (or related field) and are expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate training and to foster an excellent record of research productivity and external funding. This position is central to the nascent Developmental and Brain Sciences Ph.D. program that will welcome its first class in Fall 2012. We are particularly interested in candidates who specialize in developmental approaches, but research area is open, including e.g. memory, language, social processes, and perception. Successful candidates should have the appropriate expertise to teach core undergraduate courses (e.g. Learning and Memory, Social Psychology, Research Methods, Introduction to Cognitive Science), advanced courses in their specialty, and graduate courses in the Developmental and Brain Sciences program. UMass Boston has strong traditions of diversity and interdisciplinary research and seeks candidates who will further these traditions.
