Journal of Vision announces candidates for editor-in-chief

The ARVO Board of Trustees has approved candidates for the Journal of Vision (JOV) editor-in-chief at their October 22 meeting. The candidates are:

§  Mark Georgeson, MA, D Phil., professor of visual science, Aston University 

§  Dennis Levi, OD, PhD, dean/professor, School of Optometry, University of California Berkeley

Selection process and voting
The ARVO president formed a nominating committee, charged with selecting candidate recommendations for the Board from a pool of applicants that were nominated by colleagues or self-nominated. 

All voting members of ARVO whose dues are paid by February 1, 2011 will receive an electronic ballot to cast a vote in this election. Elections open on March 14, 2011 and close on May 1, 2011. 

The successful candidate will serve a five-year term beginning January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2017.
