JEPHPP is open for business Jan 1, 2011 with a new editorial team:
Although JEPHPP publishes papers on all sensory modalities and motor
systems, we are especially interested in letting the vision research
community know about important changes in format and reviewing culture.
There are now three types of articles:
1. Observations (2000 word limit to body of text) facilitate the rapid
communication of ground-breaking research of general interest to readers of
the journal.
2. Reports consist of empirical studies that increase theoretical
understanding of human perception and performance.
3. Commentary is occasionally published on topics pertinent to the journal's
concerns.

There are also changes in emphasis. We will now:
1. Feature Observations (high-quality short reports) at the beginning of
each issue.
2. Streamline the reviewing process by rejecting articles more quickly and
not tinkering too much with articles that are pretty good already.
3. Diversify the research featured in the journal so that it includes a
broader definition of visual and perceptual cognition.
4. Encourage plain and accessible writing.

All papers are published on-line first shortly after authors have completed
the proofing process.
