CALL FOR PAPER & POSTER PROPOSALS
ASSOCIATION FOR THE SCIENTIFIC STUDY OF CONSCIOUSNESS
15TH ANNUAL MEETING

June 9th to 12th, 2011

Kyoto, Japan
-------------------
GENERAL INFORMATION
-------------------

ASSC15 is intended to promote interdisciplinary dialogue in the
scientific study of consciousness. ASSC members as well as non-members
are encouraged to submit contributions that address current empirical
and theoretical issues in the study of consciousness, from the
perspectives of philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, computer
science, and cognitive ethology. ASSC15 will provide an excellent
opportunity for the presentation of new empirical findings or novel
theoretical perspectives in an atmosphere that will promote discussion
and debate.

This year, there will be a limited amount (~40 people; 20 for persons
from east asia, 20 for persons from other countries) of travel award
for students and postdocs living outside of Japan. Also, an express
review option for accept/reject is also available for those who need
it for visa application.

-------------------
LOCATION
-------------------

The main conference will take place in the clock tower of Kyoto
University. Kyoto is the old capital of Japan, full of historical
temples and shrines with beautiful scenery. On the last day of the
conference, we plan to visit a special temple that is usually
inaccessible to tourists! A number of hotels ranging from luxury to
budget are located within walking distance to the main conference.
