[visionlist] Postdoctoral Positions, Visual Working Memory – Audiovisual Integration

Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately, each for a period of three years, to study the neural basis of visual working memory or audiovisual integration in nonhuman primate models. This work involves the use of novel experimental paradigms that manipulate memory load or audiovisual integration difficulty, single and multiple neuron recording, neuropharmacology, inactivation, and functional imaging techniques.
Applicants are expected to have strong background in Systems/Cognitive neuroscience and training in neuronal recording, psychophysics and animal behavior. Quantitative and programming (MatLab) skills in are assets.
This research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Natural Science & Engineering Research Council in Canada. Our laboratory is part of the Centre for Neuroscience Studies at Queen’s University, which has a strong Systems Neuroscience focus and includes a state-of-the-art facility for nonhuman primates. Queen’s University is a top rank, midsize research University in Canada. It is located in Kingston, Ontario, an historic University town located strategically midway between Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa.
