[visionlist] OSA Spectrum Recovery Challenge

We write to alert you to the 2011 OSA Spectrum Recovery Competition. The
challenge is to recover the spectra of a set of unknown illuminants  
from a collection of
rendered visual scenes. Details (including instructions on how to  
register, download
datasets and submit solutions) are available at:

The winner will receive a cash prize of $1000 and will be invited to  
present their methods
and solution at the 2011 OSA Vision Meeting to be held in Seattle,  
Washington, September
16-18, 2011.  Submissions will be scored on an approximately biweekly  
schedule,

The deadline for final submissions is July 14th 2011.
