------------------------------------------
Dear colleagues,
Thank you very much for your kind and deep sympathy at the news of the
huge earthquake that attacked north Japan on 11 March. Moreover, we have
received several emails to show their concern about the damages in Sendai
and about IMRF2011.
In short, down town Sendai is little damaged and our conference venue
is quite OK. The sea coast area of Sendai was severely attacked by the high
tidal wave but the down town area is located 15 km west of the sea coast and
got actually no effect of the tidal wave at all. In the down town, buildings
are little damaged while, in offices and houses, books in shelves were
spread over floors and electricity was down (The electricity of my home has
recovered this morning and thus I am writing this email to you).

In any way, therefore, we Japanese organizers would still strongly
like to hold IMRF2011 and be looking forward to welcoming you. Therefore,
please do not abandon to come to Sendai but do submit your abstracts until
the final deadline of 18 March (inclusive) to visit us. Your abstract
submissions must be the most effective support and boost for us! :-)

See you all in Sendai in June!
With best regards,
SUZUKI, Yo-ichi
