POSTDOC IN MONKEY PHYSIOLOGY @ KASTNER LAB, PRINCETON

A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the
Neuroscience of Attention & Perception Laboratory, led by Dr. Sabine
Kastner in the Department of Psychology and Princeton Neuroscience
Institute at Princeton University. This is a full-time, 1 year
position with possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance.
The lab uses a variety of methods to study attention at various levels
of processing from subcortical structures (LGN, pulvinar) to higher-
order cortex (fronto-parietal areas). This position is for a
postdoctoral researcher interested in monkey electrophysiology
(simultaneous recordings from two or more brain regions) in studies of
vision and attention. There is also an opportunity to learn MR
imaging methods (DTI, fMRI) in non-human primates. In addition to this
line of research, the postdoctoral researcher will be given the
opportunity to participate in other lab research endeavors, and they
will be expected to make a strong contribution to the lab's overall
research efforts.

Essential qualifications for this position include: a Ph.D. in
Psychology, Neuroscience, or other closely related field; strong
background in monkey electrophysiology and strong quantitative skills
using Matlab. Candidates must pass a standard MR safety screening in
order to work in the MR environment.
