[visionlist] Post-Doc in fMRI / TMS / Trans-Saccadic Visual Integration

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellowship in Doug 
Crawford's lab at the York Centre for Vision Research (CVR) in Toronto, 
Canada. The project will involve a combination of fMRI and TMS with 
psychophysical paradigms related to the integration of visual features 
across saccades. The project will test theories proposed in previous 
papers from the lab (see especially Prime et al. J. Neurosci 2008; 
Cerebral Cortex 2010).

CVR is Canada's largest vision research centre, with over 25 core 
faculty and approximately 100 post-docs and graduate students. CVR has 
its own in-house dedicated research fMRI (3-T Siemens) and support 
staff. Doug Crawford's lab includes two TMS / Psychophysics set-ups, 
each supplied with Magstim TMS machines, Brainsight Navigation Tools for 
MRI / TMS integration, Eyelink II for oculomotor recordings, and various 
other psychophysical / recording devices. Generous technical support is

The post-doctoral fellow will be paid according to NSERC Guidelines. 
Preferred start date: July-December 2011.

A PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, or related field, and evidence of 
establishing a productive publication output is required. Directly 
relevant experience in cognitive neuroscience (especially neuroimaging 
related to perception, memory or sensorimotor processes) is preferred. 
Experience with visual psychophysics and eye movement recording 
techniques is also highly valued.
