*PhD position in Multisensory Research (Barcelona)*

Applications are invited for a full-time pre-doctoral position in the
MULTISENSORY RESEARCH GROUP, led by Salvador Soto-Faraco, at the
Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona). The position is covered by a
European Research Council grant on Multisensory Integration and
Attention.

The position
The project attempts to understand the interplay between multisensory
integration and attention. This includes research in the domains of
speech, temporal and spatial processing, and body representatio. The
methodological approaches include psychophysics, neuroimaging (fMRI,
ERP), and brain stimulation (TMS).

We seek a highly motivated student who has an interest to complete a
PhD in our group. Full involvement in the group’s activities is
expected. Among others, we will value positively the candidates prior
research experience; background in relevant areas (cognitive
neuroscience, neuroscience, and/or cognitive psychology), and
programming skills.

Conditions
The position will be funded for three years.  Starting date: September
2011. Salary (before tax): 18000Eur/Year
