[visionlist] Benchmarking Facial Image Analysis Technologies - BeFIT workshop 2011

Dear all,

 

We would like to give you an update about the recent activities regarding to
the Benchmarking Facial Image Analysis Technologies (BeFIT) workshop
(http://face.cs.kit.edu/befit/workshop2011/) that will take place this year
in conjunction with ICCV 2011.

 

The challenge submission phase is recently over. We have received 9
benchmark proposals, which are listed under the "Proposed Challenges" item
of the workshop webpage. The discussions/feedbacks phase has started. The
researchers can send their feedbacks about the proposed challenges to the
corresponding e-mailing lists listed on the individual challenge pages.
Discussion/feedbacks deadline is June 24, 2011.

 

The remaining important dates are as below:

 

* Paper deadline: July 1, 2011

* Notification of acceptance: August 1, 2011

* Camera ready deadline: September 1, 2011

* Workshop date: November 13, 2011

 

The support of Quaero program is confirmed. A "Best Challenge Award" and a
"Best Paper Award" will be given at the workshop.

 

Attached you can find the "Call for Papers" of the workshop. We would
appreciate, if you could distribute it to your colleagues who might be
interested in contributing. We would also appreciate, if you could
contribute to the workshop by submitting papers and providing feedbacks to
the proposed benchmarks.
