========================================================================

Depth cameras and range scanners have been used in robotics and computer
vision, however, the price of the devices has limited the number of
applications. With the introduction of affordable depth cameras like
Microsoft's Kinect, a consumer product that is available to everyone, we
will very probably see novel innovations in this field and an explosion
of vision applications across a range of domains such as robotics and HCI.

The workshop aims to provide an interactive platform for researchers to
disseminate their most recent research results and to discuss major
problems and the potential impact of consumer depth cameras for
applications and research. The workshop is expected to bring together
researchers from multiple fields and perspectives and, in particular, to
attract researchers that have been working with 3D capturing devices for
years and researchers that explore depth cameras for the first time. We
plan to put special emphasis on live demos and publicly available source
code.

This workshop calls for original, high-quality paper submissions on the
following topics of interest, but not limited to:
    * Object recognition and detection
    * Segmentation and grouping
    * Scene understanding
    * Tracking
    * Human-computer interaction
    * Face and gesture analysis
    * 3D reconstruction
    * Augmented reality
    * Sensor fusion
    * Surveillance and monitoring
    * Mapping, localization and SLAM
    * Robotic manipulation and human-robot interaction
    * Industrial applications

Prospective authors are invited to submit a six-page paper (ICCV format)
via the workshop web-page. The papers will be reviewed by an
international Program Committee. Accepted papers will be published on
the DVD included in the main conference proceedings.
