The Department of Experimental Psychology of the 
Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, Germany, invites applications for a

Postdoctoral Position in Cognitive Neuroscience

The position is part of a DFG-funded research project on the neural 
basis of feature binding in posterior parietal cortex. Principal 
research method will be high-field (7T)-fMRI, in combination with 
multivariate pattern analysis (MVPA). Applicants should have a doctoral 
degree in Psychology or a related area. The position involves utilizing 
advanced statistical analysis tools written in the Python programming 
language (PyMVPA; Hanke et al., Front. Neurosci. 2010, 4, 38-43)  Prior 
experience with a modern programming language is desired, proficiency 
with Python is an asset. Moreover, expertise in fMRI data analysis is 
beneficial, but not a requirement.

The position is available immediately, for a duration of two years. 
Magdeburg, located ca. 130km southwest of Berlin, has a strong 
neuroscience community with all major human imaging facilities (fMRI, 
EEG, MEG, TMS, PET, NIRS). For further information, please contact
