PhD POSITION: MULTI-DESCRIPTOR RETRIEVAL IN DIGITALIZED PHOTOGRAPHS
COLLECTIONS
Within the scope of a research collaboration, the Vertigo research group
of the CEDRIC Lab (CNAM Paris, France), the semi-public company Nicephore
Cite and the Nicephore Niepce Museum of Chalon-sur-Saone (France), propose
a PhD thesis on the area of content-based image indexing and retrieval.

* Organization
- Beginning : last trimester 2011
- Salary : 1650 Euros/month (net income) during 3 years. The position is a
salaried employment with the right to social benefits and paid vacations.
- Location: thesis localized at Paris and at Chalon-sur-Saone
(accommodation conditions facilitated on the two sites).
* Requirements
The PhD candidate must have (or expect to obtain) a MSc or equivalent in
Computer Science. Good skills and practice in CBIR, image analysis or
computer vision are required, as well as excellent skills in C/C++ or Java
programming. Basic knowledge in database (access methods, index) will
strengthen the candidate's application.
