This Research and Development role would suit a recently graduated software programmer looking to develop novel image-based mesh generation tools under the auspices of an EU FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN). You will be working closely with the Managing Director and the software development team, as well as research institutions, universities, and R&D departments of companies throughout Europe.
Please note that this position is open to nationals of any country except UK citizens or those that have been resident in the UK for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.
Knowledge, experience, skills, and competencies
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A degree in Computer Science or Engineering (less than 4 years ago and no PhD)
- Good knowledge and experience of C++
- Good English
You should also be self-motivated, a team player and able to communicate effectively with a range of people.
Any of the following would be beneficial to your application: knowledge of Linux, VTK, ITK, wxWidgets, and Visual C++.

Salary: €45k (approx. £40k/$63k) per annum
Location: Exeter, UK
Duration: Initial 36 months (possible permanent employment at the end of project)
