[visionlist] Professorship for Sensorimotor Neuroscience and Neuroprothetics

The Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and the German Primate Center
(DPZ, www.dpz.eu) in Göttingen have established a 

professorship for Sensorimotor Neuroscience and Neuroprothetics
(W2 pay level, tenure-track)

at the Faculty of Biology of the University, and within the Neuroscience
Section at the German Primate Center.

The successful applicant will head a research group at the Cognitive
Neurosciences laboratory of the DPZ. The professorship includes some
teaching at the Faculty of Biology and will initially be appointed for
four years. After a positive review the position can become permanent.

Experience with interdisciplinary research with non-human primates
on electrophysiology of cortical signals is essential. Representatives
from the DPZ and from the Faculty of Biology will jointly conduct the
selection process and application documents will also be accessible to
committees of the DPZ.

A higher doctorate (Habilitation) or equivalent experience in teaching
and research is required. The details are governed by the Higher
Education Law of Lower Saxony (Nds. GVBl. 2007 S. 69). The
