Call for Submissions for a Special Issue of 
Displays (Elsevier) on Applied Research in Visual Perception and Action
Submission Deadline: Dec. 20, 2011

This special issue is intended to organize a 
collection of recent research studies on human 
visual perception action, with an emphasis on the 
relevance of the research findings for display 
and interaction designs, considering both current 
and future technology configurations and 
applications. We are looking for papers in both 
original research and review paper styles.

The topics include, but are not limited to:
· Space perception and visuomotor control
· Locomotion and navigation
· Pointing, hitting, reaching, and grasping
· Motion sickness
· Virtual reality in behavioral research

Displays has an ISI-listed 2010 impact factor of 
1.21, ranked in the top 38% among the 1242 
ISI-listed journals in Computer Science and Engineering.

Paper submissionBefore submission, authors should 
carefully read over the journal's Author

Prospective authors should submit an electronic 
copy of their complete manuscript through the

To ensure that all manuscripts are correctly 
identified for inclusion into the special issue, 
it is important that authors select Special 
Issue: VPA2012 when they reach the “Article Type” 
step in the submission process.  Submitted 
manuscripts will be reviewed according to the peer review policy of Displays.
