FACULTY POSITION
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University invites
applications for the James V. Bradley Chair in Psychological Sciences.
We are especially interested in hiring at the Advanced Associate or
early Full Professor level, with tenure. The successful candidate will
have a Ph.D. in psychology or a closely related field and an outstanding
record of academic accomplishment. The department has graduate programs
in eight areas: Behavioral Neuroscience, Clinical Psychology, Cognitive
Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Industrial/Organizational
Psychology, Learning and Memory, Mathematical and Computational
Cognitive Science, and Social Psychology. The holder of the Bradley
Chair is expected to be an established leader with an international
reputation in at least one of these areas. Recurring research funds are
associated with the Chair to help advance the holder’s research program.
Specific research interests are open, but we are particularly interested
in individuals whose research cuts across two or more of the areas and
who have track records of extramural funding. Responsibilities will
include maintaining a productive research program, directing graduate
student research, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. A
background check will be required for employment in this position.
