The Aegean Summer School in Visual Optics is an international course organised annually since 2002 by the Institute of Vision and Optics (IVO), University of Crete. 

The scientific program will cover many aspects of basic and advanced research on accommodation and presbyopiawith an emphasis on
 
            • Ocular refraction and aberrations,
            • Vision quality in the ageing eye
            • Crystalline lens and accommodation.
            • Advances in spectacle and contact lens designs for presbyopia treatment.
            • Advances in the surgical modalities for presbyopia
