POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW POSITION IN VISUAL SELF-MOTION PERCEPTION

SCHOOL OF PSYCHOLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG, AUSTRALIA

*      Fixed Term (1 year) Position - Level B (equivalent to Lecturer)

We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral fellow in visual perception at the University of Wollongong in the School of Psychology.

The position is funded by an Australian Research Council Grant to Associate Professor Stephen Palmisano (UoW) and Associate Professor Robert Allison (York U) entitled: "Viewpoint changes during locomotion: Their role in self-motion perception and motion sickness."

Candidates must hold a PhD in Psychology or in a relevant area.  A background in vision research is essential.  Desirables include: (i) a background in visual motion perception and/or eye-tracking; and (ii) experience in graphics programming (e.g. C/C++, python, OpenGL).

Our well-equipped laboratory already has all of the apparatus and most of the software required for this research.

A base salary ranging from $77,104 - $91,560 plus benefits will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
