The University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce a Preview Day on  
November 19, 2011 for prospective graduate students who are interested  
in PhD studies in Robotics and Perception funded by the National  
Science Foundation's IGERT traineeship program in Complex Scene  
Perception.

There is a simple on-line application procedure. Qualified applicants  
may apply for travel funds of up to $400 to visit our labs and meet  
with faculty and current graduate students to discuss fully funded  
research and training opportunities. Please share this information  
with current or former students from your institution who may be  
interested! A printable PDF is attached as well, for posting or  
distribution.

Complex Scene Perception

Graduate study in this field focuses on understanding how humans and  
robots perceive, navigate, and interact with natural environments.

Fall Preview Day - Saturday, November 19, 2011

For prospective graduate students interested in Ph.D. studies in  
Complex Scene Perception, funded by the National Science Foundation’s  
IGERT Traineeship program.

Visit internationally known labs and participate in interactive hands- 
on demos

       Meet with Penn faculty to learn about research opportunities  
and graduate degrees in computer and information science, psychology,  
and electrical and systems engineering

             Learn how to apply to graduate programs and traineeships  
that provide all tuition and fees plus annual stipends of up to  
$30,000 for five years

                   Meet with graduate students to learn and ask  
questions about graduate education at Penn and living in Philadelphia

Apply by October 31!
The first 30 qualified applicants can receive up to $400 for travel  
expenses to attend.

transcript, and ask a faculty member at your undergraduate school to  
submit a nomination form
