The Department of PSYCHOLOGY at the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA invites
applications for a full time (9-mo) Assistant Professor (tenure track) in
BEHAVIORAL AND COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE. The position starts in August 2012. A
Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience are required. We invite applications from
individuals working in any area of Behavioral Neuroscience, who can
interface with existing focuses within the Psychology Department, McKnight
Brain Institute, and other resources across campus. Those focuses include
(but are not limited to) studies of the neurobiology of drug addiction,
learning and memory, aging, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other research
areas that have translational implications. Applicants should provide
evidence of outstanding research, with strong potential for extramural
funding. Applicants are also expected to demonstrate a commitment to
excellence in teaching and mentoring of a diverse student population at the
undergraduate and graduate levels. The University of Florida is an Equal
