----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The annual APCV provides the Asia-Pacific forum for vision scientists to share their findings on broad range of topics including neural, psychophysical, computational, clinical and applied aspects of vision. Participants from around the world are welcome.
The APCV 2012 is its 8th meeting, and will be held from July 13 (Fri) to July 15 (Sun), 2012, at Songdo Convensia in the city of Incheon, Korea. The conference venue is conveniently located just 30 minutes away from the Incheon International Airport and an hour from the major attractions of Seoul, the capital of the peninsula for over 600 years.
Following previous meetings (http://www.apcv.net/), the APCV 2012 will consist of plenary lectures, symposia, and oral and poster presentations. The official language of the conference is English.
Currently, we are accepting proposals for symposia. Each symposium session will be allocated approximately 2 hours of time within the program. Symposia consist of a set of thematically focused oral presentations on a particular topic, with one or two organizer(s) responsible for promoting active discussion and integration. Submissions may focus on theoretical, empirical, or methodological issues. Each symposium preferably consists of no more than four presentations. Proposals should include the names, affiliations, and email addresses of the proposed symposium organizer(s) and presenters. In addition, overall symposium description of no more than 500 words and tentative titles of individual presentations should provide sufficient specificity of content about the proposed symposia. We are planning to have 6~8 symposia in total during the conference.
If you are interested in organizing a symposium for APCV 2012, please?contact and send a proposal to Sang-Hun Lee (visionsl at snu.ac.kr), chair of the APCV 2012 Program Committee. Submissions will be accepted through November 15, 2011. Notifications of acceptance will be issued by December 15, 2011. Abstracts for individual talks are encouraged to be included in the proposals of symposia but can be separately submitted later by the same deadline as general submission, March 15, 2012.
