Dear Colleague,

We hope that you will pass this message on to undergraduate students that
may have a career interest in perceptual learning.

The Department of Psychology at University of California of Riverside (UCR)
seeks PhD student applicants with an interest in Perceptual Learning. UCR
has recently developed programmatic strengths in Perceptual Learning with
faculty John Andersen (Learning, Vision and Aging), Sara Mednick (Mechanisms
of Cortical and Hippocampal Memory Consolidation via Sleep and Pharmacology)
and Aaron Seitz (Attention and Reinforcement Mechanisms in Learning and
Multisensory Learning). State of the art research facilities include a Sleep
Lab, High Density EEG, Eye-Tracking, a Driving Simulator, etc. Applicants
experienced with perceptual learning research and with strong computational
skills are especially encouraged to apply.

Prospective students should contact Aaron Seitz (aseitz at ucr.edu &
www.faculty.ucr.edu/~aseitz/ <http://www.faculty.ucr.edu/~aseitz/> ), Sara
Mednick (smednick at ucr.edu <mailto:smednick at ucr.edu> & www.saramednick.com)
and/or John Andersen (andersen at ucr.edu &
www.psych.ucr.edu/faculty/andersen/index.html
<http://www.psych.ucr.edu/faculty/andersen/index.html> ) with questions
regarding specific labs. Application guidelines can be found at the
department website: http://psych.ucr.edu/grad/admissions.html
