Post-doctoral position offered
A post-doctoral position is offered at the University of California,
Berkeley, School of Optometry. The recently-funded project focuses on
electrophysiological measures (mfERG, electro-oculogram, and full-field
ERG) of retinal function in individuals with diabetes. The primary goal of
the project is to develop a model incorporating these functional
measures, OCT, and other known risk factors, that is predictive of the
development of diabetic macular edema.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have an MD/PhD, OD/PhD, or PhD. Experience
conducting electrophysiological studies in humans is strongly desired.
Must have good people skills, good organizational skills and experience
working with subjects/patients.
The Position
The position entails involvement in the project at all levels: data
collection (testing subjects with and without Type 2 diabetes on these and
other measures), assisting with data management, data analysis, and
manuscript preparation and model building. Strong statistical skills are
a definite plus. A record of scientific publications preferred. The
position is available immediately for the qualified candidate. Salary is
commensurate with level of experience.
