UMass Boston: Postdoc Position available on Eye Movements in Real-World Scenes

At the University of Massachusetts Boston, a position for a
post-doctoral fellow is available immediately for a maximum duration
of three years. The NIH-funded project at the Visual Attention Lab in
the Department of Computer Science is aimed at studying the effect of
semantic relationships among scene objects on the control of visual
attention. There will be flexibility for the successful candidate to
work on other eye movement/visual attention projects related to their
research interests.

Candidates must have a PhD degree in computer science, psychology,
psycholinguistics, or a related field, be strong programmers (Matlab
and C preferred) and have experience in eye-movement research and
writing of research papers.

Applications should include a CV, statement of research interests,
contact information of three references, and a PDF file or URL of one
first-authored publication. The review of applications will start
immediately and will continue until a decision has been made. All
applications received by December 1, 2011, will receive full
consideration. Depending on the applicant’s availability, the start
date of the position will be between December 2011 and June 2012.
