*International Conference on Image and Signal Processing 2012 (ICISP 2012)
June 28-30, Agadir, Morocco*
http://www.univ-ibnzohr.ac.ma/icisp/
The International Conference on Image and Signal Processing (ICISP) aims
to provide researchers and practitioners from academia and industry with
a forum to report on the latest developments in image and signal
processing, multimedia and computer graphics. ICISP 2012, the 5th in the
series that has been held since 2001, will include a special session on
multi/hyperspectral imaging (see below) and will bring together leading
engineers and scientists in image, signal and video processing from
around the world. Topics include, but are not limited to:
-Image and video processing: image filtering, restoration and
enhancement, image segmentation, video segmentation and tracking,
morphological processing, feature extraction and analysis, interpolation
and super-resolution, motion detection and estimation, computer vision,
pattern recognition, content-based image retrieval.
-Signal Processing: spectral analysis, time-frequency and
time-scale representation, statistical signal processing, filtering,
detection and estimation, nonlinear signal processing, radar, antennas,
telecommunications systems, acoustics.
-Computer graphics: algorithms, visualization, animation, virtual
reality.
-Applications: biomedical sciences, biometry, document image
processing and authentication, other applications.
Paper Submission: Prospective authors are invited to submit papers of
not more than eight (8) pages including results, figures and references.
Papers will be accepted only by electronic submission
(https://www.stlo.unicaen.fr/icisp/ct/htdocs/).
The conference proceedings is planned to be published in the Springer
Lecture Notes in Computer Science series (Springer LNCS).
*Special Session on Multi/hyperspectral Imaging*
A special session with focus on multi/hyperspectral imaging is organized
within the conference. Original contributions on methodologies as well
as applications of multi/hyperspectral imaging are sollicited. Potential
topics include, but are not limited to: dimensionality reduction,
classification, system design and calibration, reflectance estimation,
fusion, filtering, coding and compression, visualization and rendering,
feature extraction, SFA demosaicing, physical or biological models
integration, printing, applications, etc.
Important notice for special session submissions: In order to identify a
submission as related to a given special session, authors have to select
the appropriate special session in the list of topics when submitting
their paper.
*Important Dates*
Submission of full-papers: January 27, 2012
Notification of acceptance: March 9, 2012
Submission of camera-ready papers: April 15, 2012
Conference: June 28 -30, 2012
*Invited speakers*
- Denis Laurendeau : President of the International Association for
Pattern Recognition (IAPR). Director of the REPARTI research center and
Head of the Computer Vision and Systems Laboratory at Laval University,
Quebec, Canada.http://vision.gel.ulaval.ca/~laurend/
- Matti Pietikainen: Director of Infotech Oulu Research Center,
Finlande.http://www.cse.oulu.fi/MattiPietik?inen
- Saad Biaz: Shelby Center of Engineering Technology, Auburn University,
USA.http://www.eng.auburn.edu/~sbiaz/
*Papers submission*
Authors are invited to submit full papers showing original research
contributions. The work should not have been presented or published or
being considered for review or publication by other conferences or
journals. The paper should be no more than 8 pages (1-column) including
an abstract, all text, figures, tables and references.
The conference proceedings is planned to be published in the Springer
Lecture Notes in Computer Science series (Springer LNCS). Authors should
refer to the Author's Instructions on Springer's LNCS web site for more
information on paper format and to download the style/template files.
Please note that instructions on Springer's web site may refer to the
"camera-ready" version of a paper. Authors can use the same instructions
for their first submission, as well as for the camera-ready version upon
acceptance of their papers. (Authors are not required to submit a
copyright form with their first submission.)
Only electronic submission will be accepted through the conference paper
submission web page. Please use only PDF or PostScript format for the
submitted paper. If your paper is accepted you will be asked to submit
the source of the camera-ready version of your paper for inclusion in
the conference proceedings. Acceptable formats for the source version
are LaTeX and Microsoft Word (LaTeX is preferred), using Springer's
style/template files.
To correctly format your paper, refer to
http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs. Files formatted with Latex are
preferred. The Springer LNCS instructions for paper formatting are
available at :
