Hollingworth Laboratory Postdoctoral Position in Visual Perception and Memory
Applications are invited for an NIH-funded postdoctoral position in the Hollingworth Laboratory at the University of Iowa Department of Psychology. The main project probes the mechanisms by which
visual working memory (VWM) interacts with saccade target selection, drawing on behavioral methods and computational modeling. This and related ongoing work addresses a range of topics in higher-level
vision, including core representational properties of VWM, control over VWM content, interactions between memory and attention/gaze, visual search, and scene perception/memory.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in cognition or cognitive neuroscience. Experience with eye tracking methods and data analysis are desirable.
The laboratory is a part of the Iowa Vision Group, which includes several faculty who specialize in mid- and high-level visual perception, attention, and object representation, providing a dynamic
intellectual environment for a vision-oriented postdoc.
Interested applicants should send a CV, research statement, and the names of three referees to: andrew-hollingworth at uiowa.edu.
More information about recent research in the lab can be found at: http://www.psychology.uiowa.edu/faculty/hollingworth/publications.html
