            TWO PH.D. STUDENTSHIPS IN HUMAN PERCEPTION

Two ESRC CASE  studentships in Human Perception are available at the  Department of Experimental Psychology, at the University of Liverpool.  One of the Ph.D. studentships is focussed on evaluating multi-sensory VR environments, the 2nd one on improving current colour appearance models.
The studentships are open for UK citizens and EU citizens who have been resident in the UK for 3 years or more. A  Masters level qualification with a strong research methods component is a requirement.
The stipend is at the standard ESRC rate (currently £13,590 pa tax free) plus a company contribution of £2k. Applicants will have at least an upper second class honours degree in psychology, computer science, neuroscience or a related subject and have experience in experimental design.  Good computational and mathematical skills or previous experience with experimental techniques would be would be desirable but is not essential.
