Apologies for the repeated post, but we would like to add some details to this job offer.
Postdoctoral Researcher in the Field of Multispectral Imaging
Colour Research Group
University of East Anglia
Norwich
UK
The Colour Research group, led by Professor Graham Finlayson, at the University of East Anglia carries out research in the fields of colour for computer vision, colour science and colour imaging. The group has recently received funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (UK government) for a 4 year post-doctoral post in the area of spectral estimation (broadly, mapping measured camera responses to spectra). The research is in collaboration with Professor Andrew Stockman (UCL, London) and the UK's National Physical Laboratory (Teddington, London). This multidisciplinary project linking computer vision, imaging, and human vision also brings together important industry players.
The successful applicant for the postdoctoral position must have a PhD and a background in a numerate discipline (e.g. computer science, engineering or psychophysics) and should, ideally, have experience in colour measurement, experimental design, computer algorithms and data analysis. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact Prof. Finlayson (graham at cmp.uea.ac.uk).
The University advert for this post can be found at: http://www.uea.ac.uk/hr/jobs/ra/ra811.htm. (Applicants must send all forms etc according to the instructions detailed there).
