Postdoctoral Position in Visual Attention with Shaun Vecera, University
of Iowa

Applications are invited for an NSF-funded postdoctoral position in the
Vecera Laboratory at the University of Iowa Department of Psychology.
The lab's research investigates the mechanisms of attentional control,
primarily using behavioral methods. The research team includes Dr. Toby
Mordkoff (University of Iowa) and Dr. Catherine Reed (Claremont McKenna
College), and we are seeking an individual with a strong background in
theories and methods of visual attention and/or visual cognition.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in cognition or cognitive neuroscience,
coupled with a good publication record. Experience with programming
experiments and performing analyses (preferably using Matlab and the
Psychophysics toolbox) is required.

The laboratory is a part of the Iowa Vision Group, which includes
several faculty who specialize in visual perception, attention, and
object representation and provides an engaging intellectual environment.

The position will remain open until a suitable candidate is identified.
Start date is negotiable. Interested applicants should send a CV,
research statement, and the names of three referees to shaun-vecera <at>
