As announced in December, ECVP in 2012 will be held in Alghero, Italy from Sunday the 2nd of September until Thursday the 6th of September.

Abstract submission open: 23th January 2012
Deadline for abstracts: 1st April 2012
Proposals for Symposia: 1st April 2012

Proposals for Symposia

We are interested in receiving proposals for symposium topics. We will have 4 or 5 symposia, each lasting around 2 hours. This time could be used as you wish, with between 4 and 6 speakers. If you are interested in suggesting a symposium, please send the organizers a brief description of the topic, the names of the potential speakers, and the titles of their talks. The deadline for user proposed symposia is April 1st.

Doctoral fellowships

Travel fellowships (registration fee, travel costs, accommodation) will be granted competitively to a limited number of students and post-docs. To apply for a travel grant, please send your abstract and a letter of motivation to the administrators (please write "Fellowship" in the title). Deadline is April 1st. Fellowship notifications will be sent in June.

Student awards

To encourage public dissemination of high quality research and to recognize distinguished poster presentations by young scientists, the best student posters will be awarded a cash prize. The number of prizes will be indicated on the website a few weeks before the conference. The scientific committee will organize the process during the conference and external advisors may be consulted. In order to apply, the full poster in pdf format (file size not exceeding 5MB) must be submitted to the administrators (please write "Awards" in the title) by August 25th.

    * Before July 1st, 2011 :

          - Regular : 220 euros

          - Students : 180 euros

 

    * After July 1st, 2011 :

          -  Regular : 280 euros

          -  Students : 220 euros

VSAC 2012

ECVP will be twinned to the VISUAL SCIENCE OF ART CONFERENCE (VSAC), which is the first edition of a worldwide academic conference aimed at studying scientific interactions between vision science and art.
