A postdoctoral position in medical image analysis is available at the Section of Biomedical Image Analysis (SBIA) of the Department of Radiology, University of Pennsylvania. SBIA has been a dynamically growing medical image analysis group, including 35 researchers and many collaborators from diverse fields. The position will support our efforts in advancing personalized medicine by developing novel methods for analyzing 4D MR or CT scans for applications in neuroscience, cardiology, and oncology. Possible research topics include but are not limited to detecting diffuse cardiac diseases from 4D medical scans, temporal consistent segmentation of longitudinal scans, and developing new shape encoding for capturing changes in anatomy due to disease progression.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who have demonstrated academic excellence, including publications in first-class journals and conferences. Successful candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
